Our hotel is located near the Underground River, which is part of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a protected biodiversity area. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and dubbed as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, guests take a paddle boat ride into the heart of the 8-kilometer river, which boasts of magnificent stalactite and stalagmite rock formations formed by the forces of nature.
Each guest is given an audio guide that plays the cave’s description so cave dwellers such as lizards, fish, and bats will not be disturbed. The experience is made even more exciting as the only light tourists can rely on are the ones placed on their helmets.
The PPUR is a 15 to 20-minute boat ride from the resort.

The Sabang Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour is one of the most peaceful and relaxing activities that tourists can opt to do when vacationing in Sabang. Guests see some of Palawan’s well-protected mangrove areas and see another side of Palawan’s rich biodiversity.
Sabang Mangrove is a bird watcher’s paradise with 195 species of birds or 67% of the total species found in the Philippines. Among these, 15 are considered endemic to Palawan such as the blue-headed racket-tail, the Palawan hornbill and the Palawan scops owl.
Birds are not the only star of the tour: land animals such as the Oriental small-clawed otter, the Palawan stink badger and the Palawan arrow-tailed flying squirrel can also be spotted in the forest.
Guests are encouraged to do their part for the environment and plant mangrove seedlings by the end of the tour. Take the adventure further and try the tamilok or woodworm, which is a local delicacy and can be found in the dead branches of mangrove trees.
Through the tour, travelers become aware of the importance of conserving the mangrove forest and the wildlife that thrives in it. This earned the Sabang Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour Guide Association an ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Award for 2019-2021 with Daluyon as its official partner for accommodations.

Ugong Rock is a 75-foot limestone formation set amid farmlands and karst forests. This tour combines 3 eco-adventures in 1: trekking, spelunking and ziplining.
The word “ugong” refers to the reverberating sound (like a bell) that stalactites produce when hit or pounded. Marvel at untouched mineral deposits inside the cave as you make your way to the summit. Take in the beautiful panoramic view of the countryside at the top before descending in a single-rider zipline with a 71-meter drop.
Schedule: 1pm and 3pm
Special rates: P2,800 + 5% SC/person for a group of 6 and above (rate will go up with less number of participants)

Tagabinet in Sabang. After a short briefing, guests are led by a LOCAL TOUR GUIDE composed of Indigenous People as a members on a short trek up the mountain at 80 meters above sea level. Magnificent rock formations can already be seen a few meters from the cave’s mouth and going deeper in the cave will reveal draperies, chandeliers, cave pearls and glittering calcites. Guests will also encounter cave dwellers such as bats, swiftlets and spiders.
Helmet with head lamp and gloves will be provided.

Tourist spots in the province’s capital give a glimpse of Palawan’s culture, craft, food offerings and people. Aside from its beautiful beaches and natural wonders, Palawan has notable historical spots in the city, and some of these tourist destinations are our partners for the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Awards (ASTA) for Culture and Heritage Tourism under the Urban category.
This includes the World War II Memorial Museum and Plaza Cuartel, which offer interesting insight on Palawan’s role in the liberation of the Philippines from foreign invaders.
Another notable tourist spot is the Palawan Heritage Center offers tourists a glimpse into the province’s indigenous culture and local art scene while the Palawan Butterfly Eco Garden and Tribal Village give tourists an up-close and experiential look at the Palaw’an, an indigenous group whose members share some aspects of their dying culture through music and skill demonstrations.
For delectable cuisine, the city tour includes a stop at Baker’s Hill, a local bakery famous for its ube hopia or pastry made with purple yam. Visitors can also make a stop at Ka Joel’s Restaurant for Palawan-inspired dishes and fresh seafood. Vibrant Puerto Princesa Baywalk is also a favorite spot among locals for drinks and local cuisine.
For a comfortable stay in Puerto Princesa City, our sister property Puerto Pension Inn offers an affordable and authentic Palawan experience through vibrant indigenous design elements that pay homage to the province’s rich culture.
