Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort is a 4-star luxury Puerto Princesa resort with one of the
best beaches in Palawan. One of the pioneers and champions in Sustainable tourism in the
Philippines, Daluyon has been recently awarded Top 3 Resort Finalist of the Philippines -
Philippine Tourism Awards - Department of the Philippines, Back to Back World Luxury Hotel
Awards 2024 & 2025 and TPB’s 1st membership awards. An ASEAN Green Hotel Awards and
was given the Hall of Fame Award by the Department of Tourism (DOT) because of this
significant tourism achievement. Most recent ASEAN awards, ASEAN Sustainable Tourism
Awards 2024 and GREEN HOTEL- HALL OF FAME AWARD 2024.

Daluyon is proud to have a Level 4 Anahaw certification, the second-highest level for the first
national green certification in the Philippines recognized by the DOT.

Secluded Sabang – a ‘secret’ paradise
Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort is one of the best hotels in Puerto Princesa because of its secluded location 80 kilometers away from Puerto Princesa City.The property has 24 Filipino designed rooms, all offering breathtaking beach views and one garden view.

With the majestic St. Paul Subterranean Mountain Ranges as its backdrop, a Daluyon vacation promises to be a relaxing experience with nature. Sabang Beach is known for its rare landscape where lush Mt. Bloomfields meet the sea, offering a dramatic and unspoiled coastal view. Daluyon is also an eco-luxury venue for destination weddings both ceremony and reception.

‘Wild’ visitors are quite common here, which includes local heron and monitor lizards (which guests can see walking around the property). Our beach is also a nesting area of olive ridley sea turtles and their eggs usually hatch between January and April.

The resort is reached exclusively by our luxury private vans, which can accommodate up to 7 guests. Travel time from the city to the resort is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Our story of sustainability

One of the major features of the resort is how it was built around the original terrain with many of the original trees and plants intact. Our off-grid location called for a sustainable way to provide electricity to the whole resort and prompted us to become a pioneer member of the Zero Carbon Resorts project, a project funded by the EU that started in 2010. Under this project, we adopted eco-friendly measures with the goal of lowering their carbon footprint as close to zero based on Zero Carbon Resorts’ 3R approach of Reduce, Replace and Redesign. These measures included using solar and heat exchange technology, redesigning our villas for better natural ventilation, and installing energy-efficient air-conditioners and lights.

Now Daluyon is 100% solar energy powered by Sabang Renewable Energy Corporation Its CEO, Butch Tan, became one of WEnergy Global’s earliest and most steadfast allies. “From day one, CEO Butch gave us all the support we needed,” said Ramsundersingh.
“Daluyon wasn’t just a resort. It was our partner, our base, and our symbol of solidarity.”

Working with the Sabang Community

Part of our commitment as a premier Puerto Princesa hotel is actively promoting community-based eco-tours that feature the island’s natural beauty as well as its people.

Aside from the renowned Puerto Princesa Underground River, guests can “Walk on the Wild Side”, a jungle trekking tour through Sabang’s lush forest that leads to the famous and scenic entrance of the PPUR. The tour is led by members of the Community Park Warden Association (Jungle Trail Community Guides), belonging to the indigenous Tagbanua people.

This tour is a closed-loop activity that includes hiking, entrance to the PPUR, and a boat ride back to the resort. With Daluyon’s support for trail development, the tour garnered recognition at the 1st ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Awards (ASTA) in 2018 as one of Asia’s best nature-based tourism activities.

Daluyon is also the official ASEAN tour accommodation and restaurant partner of the Sabang Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour, which highlights the importance of conserving the mangrove forest and the wildlife that thrives within it. This earned the Sabang Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour Guide Association an ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Award for 2019–2021. Daluyon has also gifted ASTA uniforms to cave guides from the Puerto Princesa Underground River for 2024–2026, as well as to paddleboat guides from the Mangrove Paddleboat Tour, cave guides from Hundred Caves, and trail guides from the Jungle Trail as part of the resort’s support to the Community Based Sustainable Tourism sites.

Partnerships and Initiatives

ANAHAW-Philippine Sustainable Tourism Certification

Daluyon is a Level 4 Anahaw-certified resort, the second-highest level of a new green certification program developed for the sustainable growth of the local tourism industry recognized by the Department of Tourism, and is one of its pioneer awardees.

Partnership with Sabang Renewable Energy Corp.

Daluyon is powered by solar energy from the Sabang Renewable Energy Corp. (SREC). Our resort was the first to support this renewable energy facility and makes us the first property to be connected to their hybrid microgrid, a milestone for the community of Sabang, Puerto Princesa. On average, our resort runs on 62% solar power from their grid.

Zero Carbon Resorts Project

Daluyon is a pioneer member of the Zero Carbon Resorts project, a project funded by the European Union that started in 2010. Under this project, Daluyon adapted eco-friendly measures with the goal of lowering their carbon footprint as close to zero and has since become a model for sustainable tourism in and outside the Philippines.

‘Just One’ Programme

Together with the World Wide Fund (WWF-Philippines), Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort helps raise awareness about climate change effects. Donate $1 or Php50 per person per night by adding it to your room bill and help WWF fight against plastic pollution in the Philippines for a brighter, more sustainable future.
